Rick Huddle, a funny storyteller, singer, and all-around entertainer, will perform his "Dragons, Dreams, and Daring Deeds" show for the Toledo Library's Summer Reading Program.
Hailing from a long line of teachers and Sourthern preachers (and a very short line of one clown), Huddle has storytelling in his blood. for the last 10 years, he has been sharing his love of storytelling with children and adults at schools, libraries, festivals, and coffee shops in and around Portland and Seattle. With exuberance, and sometimes a guitar sing-a-long, Huddle tells humorous and inspring stories about princesses who slay dragons, monsters that play kickball, and cows that dance. Occasionally, he'll even tell a story tht lets him sit down. some are original stories and some are folktales, but all of the stories emphasixe personal growth and challenge sterotypes.
Huddle' performance is made possible by the Lincoln County Library District and funds from it's "Ready-to-Read" grant from the Oregon State Library. For more information about his performance contact the Toledo Library at 336-3132.
